[10:13] Moon Report! The New Moon in Aquarius (Jan. 21 at 12:53 PM PST at 1°32’ Aquarius) is on the Sabian symbol, 2 Aquarius, An unexpected thunderstorm. A suggestion for intention setting during this New Moon is to ask yourself, “What is it that I want to create for my legacy? How can I find the network of people who will help me accomplish this goal?” Take note that this lunation falls very close to Pluto (28°20’ Capricorn).
[12:36] This lunation also begins a two-and-a-half-year Lunar Phase Family Cycle. The First Quarter Moon of this cycle is on Oct. 21, 2023 (28°28’ Capricorn); the Full Moon is on July 21, 2024 (29°08’ Capricorn); the Last Quarter Moon is on April 20, 2025 (1°12’ Aquarius).

Uranus is in a wide square to that Venus / Saturn conjunction as it stations direct – will you stay or will you go? Look to the house of your chart that contains 14°56’ Taurus and any planets in your chart within 9°-19° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius. Be on the lookout for sudden shakeups to arise in those areas of your life.
[23:33] Listener Elliott asks about how to look on the bright side of your birth chart! April’s ever-optimistic Sagittarius Ascendant and 9th house planets reply cheerfully.

[1:13] Venus at 08°11’ Aquarius trines Mars on Jan. 9 at 7:22 AM PST. The two planets conjoined on March 5, 2022 at 0°1’ Aquarius, squared each other on Sep. 16 and then had an opposition on November 30. It’s time to kiss and make up.
[3:40] On Jan. 10 at 11:51 PM PST, Venus at 10°18’ Aquarius squares the Lunar Nodes in Taurus and Scorpio. This square is activating the eclipse point from the April 30, 2022 Solar Eclipse at 10°28’ Taurus. It also forms a wide square from Venus to the upcoming Lunar Eclipse on May 5, 2023 at 14°58’ Scorpio.
[4:52] The Sabian symbol for 11 Taurus, which is the degree of the North Node, is A woman sprinkling flowers. This Aquarian Venus square the Nodes on the Taurus / Scorpio axis represents an opportunity to let go of fear and suspicion and embrace trust.
[6:35] Mars stations direct (finally!!!) on Jan. 12 at 12:56 PM PST at 08°07’ Gemini. Mars entered Gemini on August 20, 2022, turned retrograde on October 30, and enters Cancer on March 25, 2023. Before leaving Gemini, however, the planet squares Neptune in Pisces on March 14. All of these transits may have had a dampening effect on our desires to take care of business over the recent months.
[10:31] On Jan. 13 at 6:11 AM PST, the Sun in Capricorn sextiles Neptune at 23°06’ Capricorn and Pisces. The Sabian symbol for the Sun, 24 Capricorn is A woman entering a convent. The Sabian symbol for Neptune is 24 Pisces, An inhabited isle. There’s an opportunity to peek out of your cave and get a little bit more involved socially...it’s your choice.
]
[13:37] Venus squares Uranus on Jan. 14 at 5:22 PM PST at 14°58’ Aquarius and Taurus. The Sabian symbol for Venus is 15 Aquarius, Two love birds sitting on a fence. Have your business or personal relationships been feeling stale? This could be an opportunity to leave for greener pastures.
[15:53] Moon Report! The Last Quarter Moon at 24°38’ Libra (Jan. 14 at 6:10 PM PST) squares the Sun conjoined Pluto in Capricorn.
[16:19] This Last Quarter Moon is the final critical point in a Lunar Phase Family that began with a turbulent New Moon on October 16, 2020 at 23°53’ Libra, intensified at the First Quarter Moon July 17, 2021, and revealed a full story at the April 16, 2022 Full Moon. This final action point of this Lunar Phase family asks us to decide what is salvageable in relationships and what needs to be thrown into Pluto’s cosmic compost bin.
[19:06] Void-of-Course Moon Periods (VOC). On Jan. 9th at 5:52 PM PST, the Moon at 23°21’ Leo opposes Saturn in Aquarius. It will be VOC for about 13.5 hours (!!!) before entering Virgo (Jan. 10, 7:15 am PST). Use feelings of being overlooked as fuel to work on a solo creative project.
[20:22] The Moon in Virgo trines Pluto on Jan. 12 at 3:06 PM PST. The Moon will be VOC for about four hours and then enters Libra at 6:56 PM PST. This is also the same day that Mars in Gemini turns direct. Focus may be hard to come by, but try to use this VOC period on an analytical, detailed-orientated task.
[21:44] The relationship-orientated Moon in Libra squares Pluto on Jan. 15 at 12:39 AM PST. It will be VOC for about 3.5 hours before entering Scorpio at 4:08 AM PST. If you happen to be awake at this time and are tempted to regret certain interactions, remember what Eleanor Roosevelt said: “No one can make you feel inferior without your permission.”
[23:41] Listener Luisa asks about how to get the most out of New Moon cycles when they skip certain houses in her birth chart. (Here’s April’s video on how to change house systems on astro.com.)

[7:39] A Last Quarter Moon indicates a need to take corrective action based on past experience or prior knowledge. This Moon opposes Jupiter, finishing up its stay in Pisces. Reflect on how your horizons may have expanded since May of 2021, when Jupiter first Pisces. Jupiter enters Aries on Dec. 20 and will not return to Pisces for another 12 years (approximately).
[10:25] Void-of-Course Moon periods (VOC). The Moon at 21°36’ Leeeeoooo trines the Sun in Sagittarius on Dec. 13 at 7:52 AM PST. Then the Moon is VOC for almost 17 hours (!!!) before entering Virgo on Dec. 14 at 12:45 AM PST. A perfect time for a holiday party!
[11:26] On Dec. 16 at 11:13 AM PST, the Moon at 29°41’ Virgo opposes Jupiter in Pisces. It's then VOC for a little over half an hour before it enters Libra at 11:49 AM PST. [12:17] The Moon at 27°15’ Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn on Dec. 18 at 2:35 PM PST. It's VOC for about five hours before it enters Scorpio at 7:30 PM PST. This could be a time to take a very honest review of how balanced our relationships are.

Mercury is on the Sabian symbol 30 Sagittarius, The Pope and Jupiter is on 30 Pisces, The Great Stone Face. See if you can find a way to integrate the image you present and what you may be growing into internally.
[2:38] Mercury enters Capricorn on December 6th at 2:08 pm PST and will be in this sign until February 11, 2023. Mercury’s extended stay in Capricorn is due to its retrograde period (Dec. 29, 2022-Jan. 18, 2023). Use Capricorn’s steadfast focus on a project that you’ve been wanting to complete, but leave room for variations to occur.
[3:43] Moon Report! The Gemini Full Moon is on December 7th at 8:08 pm PST, at 16°01’ Gemini. This Full Moon illuminates the intentions we may have set during the New Moon at 9° Gemini on May 30, 2022. This is also the Full Moon of the Lunar Phase Family that began on June 10, 2021 at 19°47’ Gemini. (If you need help finding the Gemini area of your natal chart, April’s instructional blog post and video might help.)
[7:12] This Gemini Full Moon will closely conjoin Mars (Gemini 16°07’). Look out for relational conflicts that may ultimately prove helpful. The Sun, Moon and Mars also apply to a square to Neptune at 22°39’ Pisces. It’s time to take off those Neptunian rose-colored glasses and face the music.
[10:02] Void-of-Course Moon periods (VOC). On December 6th, the Moon (Taurus 29°04’) sextiles Jupiter at 11:02 am PST. It will be VOC for almost two hours before entering Gemini at 12:49 pm PST. Albeit brief, this lovely aspect would be an excellent time to give form to your big ideas.
[11:05] The Moon (Gemini 29°11) squares Jupiter in Pisces on December 8th at 10:13 pm PST. The Moon will be VOC for just about an hour and a half before it enters Cancer at 11:49 pm PST. This combination might behave like Mercury is retrograde, so back up your devices!
[11:50] On December 11th at 10:49 am PST, the Moon at 29°20’ Cancer trines Jupiter in Pisces. This short but sweet VOC period will last just a little under an hour and a half before the Moon enters Leeeeeooooo at 12:09 pm PST. Bring on those snuggly, domestic bliss vibes.
[12:42] The Sun makes its exact opposition to Mars on December 7th at 9:42 pm PST at 16°5’ of Sagittarius and Gemini. This is an important point in the Sun-Mars cycle that began with their conjunction in October of 2021. Take note of the changes you’ve seen and lessons you have learned.
[14:16] On December 9th, Venus (Sagittarius 29°12’) squares Jupiter in Pisces at 4:55 am PST. Later that day, Venus enters Capricorn at 7:54 pm PST, echoing Mercury’s transits from earlier in the week. What can you create during this last month of 2022 to leave this year feeling happier and better prepared for 2023?
[16:38] Listener Kelly asks about stelliums and orbs (April also covered orbs on Ep. 116). Road-tripping Cousin Maude likes to rock out! Here are links to free copies of Donna Cunningham’s The Stellium Handbook Part One and Part Two.
